Meet the Founders
Mr. Kennedy & Ms. Huguette
From Refugees to Bridge Builders of Hope
Kennedy, born in Congo-Kinshasa and raised in Rwanda, and Huguette, also born in Congo-Kinshasa but raised in Uganda, each experienced the pain of displacement caused by war. Their families were forced to flee their homelands in search of safety and stability. After enduring deep poverty and navigating the long, complex refugee resettlement process, they ultimately found refuge in the United States.
With courage, faith, and perseverance, they overcame countless barriers, pursued higher education, and embraced life in a new culture. Their personal journeys of resilience shaped their shared mission: to uplift others facing similar struggles.
Guided by their unwavering faith in God, Kennedy and Huguette have always felt His presence along the way. The birth of their children renewed their hope and reminded them of all they had overcome. Moved by compassion and purpose, they founded Hope Bridge International, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering refugees, immigrants, and underserved families. Believing in the power of unity and service, they continue building a future full of opportunity, healing, and hope.

Our vision is to declare the goodness of God through purposeful action and faith-driven service. We strive to build strong connections of hope that uplift and empower communities in need. By reaching the most vulnerable, we aim to restore dignity, inspire change, and spread compassion.
Our mission is to provide essential educational resources to children from struggling families. We are committed to raising mental health awareness by addressing stigma and bridging cultural gaps. Through advocacy and support, we serve refugees, immigrants, and underserved populations with love and integrity.

Our Programs

Mental Health Support for Refugees and Immigrants.
Hope Bridge International offers trauma-informed counseling to refugees and immigrants who are coping with the emotional effects of war, displacement, and resettlement. This program promotes healing, resilience, and long-term mental well-being

Community outreach program
We equip refugees and immigrants with job training, English language classes, and legal support to help them adjust, thrive, and build self-sufficient lives in their new communities. Our outreach fosters inclusion, empowerment, and long-term stability.

Donations and Scholarship Program
Through this program, we provide school supplies, daily meals, and scholarships to children from low-income families. These resources ensure access to education, nourishment, and hope for a brighter future.
